The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed regarding the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access sassa status SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The company place established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
